Independent Pre-Return Lease Inspection & Repair
It might not cost as
much as you think...
call your lease company first
and find out what they charge.
Call your lease company Helpline, if you have to pay for small dents, scratches, scuffed bumpers, and kerbed wheels, in other words, excess wear and tear? What sizes are acceptable? What amount are you allowed? Is there a threashold figure?
Ask how much you will be charged, they may be able to provide you with a list of charges? If not they may be able to quote you for specific items of damage. Some lease companies will allow you to e-mail them pictures.
Does your lease company inspect cars to the BVRLA Fair Wear & Tear Standard or do they have their own variation, and can they provide you with a copy?
Do they give the option of a pre-inspection which will tell you what you are likely to be charged for and so give you a chance to put it right yourself?
Does the lease company require you to have the car cleaned/valeted before it's returned?
Lease companies are usually very helpful when it comes
to returning their cars, so don't
be afraid to call their Helpline for advice.
What to do next
Whether your lease company provides you with a pre-inspection report, you have us do a full inspection and valet, or if you inspect the car yourself, we can do most repairs under the same roof making you savings advising you on the obvious things you get charged for and the not so obvious.
at main dealer prices
You don't have to go to a main dealer to get your repairs done. The BVRLA fair wear & tear guide will tell you that you can have the repairs done as long as they are to an acceptable standard. Not only can we do that, but we can also tell you what things you need to do, and what things you don't. We are BVRLA associate members and can tell you what is acceptable fair wear and tear according to the guidelines.
Just book your lease car in for an inspection/valet and we will tell you what we can save you money on.

Just wanted to feedback as I couldn't take your call while I was abroad. I didn't get charged a penny for any damage on the car although they did try and sting me for £3800 for returning the car a year early. This was their clerical error and soon sorted though!
Many thanks for a job well done."
