Gary:
So here we have a Smart Car lease return. So what are you doing with it here then?

Kieran:
Bird stain, which has left a nasty mark in the lacquer. So we're going to do some paint correction up here to see if we can improve it. It's quite an nasty bird stain so I don't think will get rid of it I think we can improve it.

Gary:
So you can get it good enough?

Kieran:
Yes that's the plan.

Gary:
Yes I can see it's quite bad, what else?

Kieran:
Inside the carpet is holed, torn.

Gary:
What's happened there?

Kieran:
Obviously as the customers driving, thier foot has been leaning on the brake at that point, as their foot has been pushing backwards and forwards on the brake it has worn the fabric.

Gary:
Perhaps they should have taken a bit more care, what would you have suggested?

Kieran:
Mats would have been your best bet, universal rubber mats would have stopped that.

Gary:
Can we repair that?

Kieran:
We can.

What's happening Arron?

Arron:
Good really, I have just put all the fibre that needs to be in their, in their. I have tapped around it just to make sure its compacted down, it one move at all.

Gary:
It looks great, I can't see where it is now, it looks like it's gone completely.

Arron:
It was just around this area if you really want to know.

Gary:
Good. And are you happy with that is that going to last?

Arron:
Yep.

Gary:
Strong?

Arron:
Very strong.

Gary:
How are you getting on Kieran?

Kieran:
Good just polishing this stain here now.

Gary:
What's it like now?

Kieran:
It's come up well, I'd say that's acceptable now.

Gary:
Great, I can't see any more. Is it still there just a little bit?

Kieran:
Yes it's still there but it's acceptable now.

Gary:
They don't all do that do they?

Kieran:
No, that's been left on there too long because you can see the stain has started to raise the lacquer. But if you get to them early enough you can get them gone completely.

Gary:
So we have been lucky in this case. And the carpet has come up really well.

Gary:
What are you doing there then Arron?

Arron:
There were just some scratches on this headlight here, where they must have polished or caught the buffer up against it maybe, they just scratched it slightly. So I just removed it with some compound by hand. Obviously I can't use a machine there.

Gary:
What do you mean, 'they'?

Arron:
A body shop.

Gary:
So it's been to the body shop, that has a little repair done and somebody has scratched the light?

Arron:
Yeah.

Gary:
See you are tidying up to make sure it's fine?

Arron:
Yes I've tidied it up, its perfect again.

Gary:
So there we have it, a Smart car another one ready lease return, already to go back.

Some smart repairs on a Leased Smart Car. This car had a hole in the carpet which we are finding to be a common problem. We use the new Innotec system to repair it, a repair which is very strong and durable. We also used paintwork correction to remove bird's mess etching and some scratches on a plastic headlight lens.
